Protected areas and biodiversity: reconciling projects and the preservation of living things

Projects located near protected areas or remarkable species must reconcile development and the preservation of biodiversity. The regulations require studies, compensatory measures and sometimes specific authorizations.

Areas of intervention

  • Regulatory analysis in Natura 2000 areas, nature reserves, regional or national parks;
  • Management of obligations related to protected species and their habitats;
  • Legal framework for environmental impact studies;
  • Implementation of avoidance, reduction, compensation (ERC) measures;
  • Disputes related to damage to biodiversity or refused authorizations.
